CAS Climate Survey

I want to thank those of you who joined me on Monday morning to discuss the College of Arts and Sciences Climate Survey findings. In continuing efforts to improve communication and increase clarity I think it is important for us to meet and engage in meaningful dialogue about the climate in which we work. The findings were collected during the UAB Faculty and Staff Climate Survey which took place last September.

For those of you who were not able to make the first meeting please join me on Tuesday, April 19th at 4:00 in Room 102 of Heritage Hall. The slides from the presentation are available for your review. I hope you read through them and attend the next meeting. Please consider this an open forum and an opportunity for you to bring your questions and concerns.

Finally, I hope this meeting will provide us with the chance to review and discuss where we as the College stand in relation to higher ed norms, areas for improvement, and next steps. I look forward to seeing you on Tuesday afternoon.

Thomas M. DiLorenzo, Dean
College of Arts and Sciences
